The Defense Department is seeking weapons for UAVs that can strike enemies but limit collateral damage, especially in cities. The Army’s solution is the Autonomous Rotorcraft Sniper System (ARSS), a small, unmanned helicopter equipped with a powerful .338-caliber rifle.
